Share across different networks
Set up your own Cloudflare relay. About 10 minutes, one time.
WifloShare connects devices directly. That works on the same Wi-Fi, but mobile networks (Jio, Airtel, Vi) and many office networks block direct connections. In those cases the data needs a relay server (called a TURN server) to pass through.
Instead of running one for everyone, WifloShare lets you use your own relay from Cloudflare. Your relay, your control.
Only one device needs this. Set it up on the device you use most, either the sender or the receiver.
What it costs
According to Cloudflare's TURN documentation (checked October 2026), relayed data costs $0.05 per GB, with a free tier of 1,000 GB before any charges start. Relay is only used when a direct connection isn't possible. Cloudflare may ask you to add a payment method. Check Cloudflare's current pricing before you start.
Setup steps
- Create a Cloudflare accountSign up for free at dash.cloudflare.com.
- Create a TURN keyIn the dashboard, open Realtime (shown as Calls in some accounts) and choose TURN Server, then create a new key. Copy the TURN key ID and its API token. Keep the API token secret, and never paste it into WifloShare.
- Generate credentialsRun one of these commands on your computer, replacing
KEY_IDandAPI_TOKENwith your values.Windows (PowerShell)
Paste these lines one at a time. Keep the quotation marks, with no spaces inside them.
$KeyId = "YOUR_TURN_KEY_ID" $Token = "YOUR_TURN_KEY_API_TOKEN" Invoke-RestMethod -Method Post -Uri "https://rtc.live.cloudflare.com/v1/turn/keys/$KeyId/credentials/generate-ice-servers" -Headers @{ Authorization = "Bearer $Token" } -ContentType "application/json" -Body '{"ttl": 86400}' | ConvertTo-Json -Depth 5Mac or Linux (Terminal)
curl -s -X POST \ "https://rtc.live.cloudflare.com/v1/turn/keys/KEY_ID/credentials/generate-ice-servers" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer API_TOKEN" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"ttl": 86400}'If you see "invalid bearer token", you used the wrong token, or the value has a typo. Use the API token shown with your TURN key, not a general Cloudflare account token. If you no longer have it, create a new TURN key.
The output is a block of text starting with
{that containsiceServers, ausernameand acredential. If Cloudflare's dashboard shows its own command for this step, you can use that instead. - Add it to WifloShareOpen WifloShare on the device, tap Relay settings at the bottom of the Send/Receive panel, paste the whole output, tap Test, then Save. The panel will show "Own relay on: any network".
Renewing
These credentials expire after the ttl you chose, in seconds (86400 seconds is 24 hours). When a transfer across networks stops working, run step 3 again and paste the new output into Relay settings.
Keeping it safe
- WifloShare stores the credentials only in your browser on that device. They are never sent to WifloShare.
- Don't share the generated credentials publicly. Anyone who has them can use your relay until they expire.
- Your long-term API token stays with you and is only used in step 3.
- You can set up billing notifications in Cloudflare to watch your usage.
