About WifloShare
A simple way to move files between your own devices.
WifloShare is a free, private web tool for sending files between devices. Open it on two devices, pick one file or many on the first, and download them on the other using a short code, a link or a QR code. There's no size limit, nothing to install and no account to create. It works instantly on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot, and across networks with your own free relay.
Why I built it
Hi, I'm Thavasi. Moving a file from my phone to my laptop usually meant emailing it to myself, sending it through a chat app that shrinks photos, or hunting for a cable. I wanted something that works in any browser, keeps files at full quality, and doesn't upload my files to someone else's server. WifloShare is the result.
How it works
WifloShare uses WebRTC, a technology built into modern browsers for video calls. A small connection service helps the two browsers find each other. After that, the file streams directly from one device to the other, encrypted by the browser. It is never stored on a WifloShare server.
- Same Wi-Fi or hotspot: works for free with no setup.
- Different networks: mobile data and some office networks block direct connections. You can add your own Cloudflare relay to make these work. See the setup guide.
Good to know
- The sender must keep the page open until the download finishes.
- There's no file size limit from WifloShare, but very large files need enough free memory on the receiving device.
- WifloShare is supported by ads, which keeps it free.
