How to send files to a print shop without logging into WhatsApp Web
By Thavasi · Updated 30 October 2026
At most print and photocopy shops, the routine is the same: the shopkeeper opens WhatsApp Web on their computer and you scan the QR code with your phone. It's quick, but it gives that computer access to your WhatsApp: your chats, photos and contacts.
Why logging in on a shop computer is risky
- It's easy to forget to log out. Your WhatsApp then stays linked to that computer.
- Anyone using that computer later could open your chats until the session ends.
- Downloaded files stay on the shop's computer, often in the Downloads folder.
A safer way: send just the file
With a browser tool you send only the document, and nothing gets logged in anywhere.
- Get on the same networkAsk to join the shop's Wi‑Fi. If the shop computer isn't on Wi‑Fi, turn on your phone's hotspot and ask them to connect to it, if their computer can.
- Open wifloshare.com on your phone and choose the filePDFs, photos, Word documents: any type works.
- Read out the 6‑character codeThe shopkeeper opens wifloshare.com, goes to Receive and types the code.
- They download and printYour file arrives at full quality. Nothing else from your phone is shared.
Try it now: open wifloshare.com on both devices. It's free, with no sign-up and no size limit.
Open WifloShareTip for shop owners: print a QR code that opens wifloshare.com and stick it on the counter. Customers can send files without asking for your WhatsApp number, and you don't need to log anyone in.
Already logged in somewhere? Log out remotely
On your phone, open WhatsApp → Settings (or ⋮ menu) → Linked devices. Tap any computer you don't recognise or no longer use, and choose Log out. Do this after every shop visit if you used WhatsApp Web there.
Other options
- Email the file to the shop: fine for small documents, but you share your email address and attachments are limited to about 25 MB.
- Pen drive: works, but shop computers often carry viruses that can spread to your drive.
